Our Collection
- 10,000 books in various genres but a high concentration of YA high interest novels
- A non-fiction section with books that are useful for DP and non-DP reference and research
- A Mandarin section of YA novels
- A Spanish section of YA novels
- A manga and graphic novel section
- Several full class sets of rigorous and high interest class sets of novels
- Access to internet and databases
- A teacher resource section filled with adult books and teacher resource materials
Library Catalog
Click here to search for books that are in our school's current inventory. Use the system to find the location of the books on the shelf, and request a hold if the book is not currently available. If there is a book or series you're interested in, let me know and I will see what I can do about adding that to our collection.
Virtual Libraries
Along with the books we have available physically in the Media Center, we also have access to books virtually on the CPS website and on MackinVIA. Click here to search through another source of e-books and audiobooks our school has access to.
Chicago Public Library Resources
Starting this year, everyone at BOYCP will have an e-card that will give them access to all of the online resources available through the Chicago Public Library. You can check out books and movies and music! This also opens you up to access all of the online databases. Click here to see all of the online resources available through CPL (A-Z online resources).
