Who We Are

In April of 2010, Mayor Daley and Alderman Cardenas, along with other community representatives, participated in the highly anticipated ceremonial groundbreaking of the long awaited high school on Chicago's southwest side. Our school was years in the making.

Without the constant support of our Back of the Yards community activists - namely, Craig Chico, Alderman Cardenas, Sandra Traback, Bruce Wellems, and Angela Kolacinski - our students would not be privy to the countless opportunities that await them inside our walls that will prepare them to be the problem-solving socially responsible citizen of the future.
