Hello! My name is Daniel Sells and this is my second year teaching at BOYCP. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2015 with degrees with Secondary Education and History. After college, I taught in Bangkok, Thailand before returning to Chicago and furthering my education at National Louis University for an LBS1 endorsement. I teach US History and English 4.
My favorite part of teaching at BOYCP is our students. My goals for our students are to develop an understanding of the human experience in order to become informed and engaged global citizens and develop skills to live a fulfilling life post-graduation. In US History and English 4, students have the opportunity to learn about the human condition from a variety of perspectives and make connections to the modern world and our own lived experiences. I believe our students have a unique story to tell and I love hearing the perspectives and viewpoints of our students.
Outside of the classroom, I am passionate about nature conservation and learning about plants and animals native to our region. I enjoy exploring forest preserves, watching my beloved sports teams (Go White Sox!), listening to music and attending concerts, random DIY projects, and cooking new foods.
