Hello! My name is Daniel Sells and this is my 8th year teaching at BOYCP. I graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2015 with degrees with Secondary Education and History. After college, I taught in Bangkok, Thailand before returning to Chicago. I earned a Master's in Special Education from Northeastern Illinois University. I teach 9th grade World Studies and 12th grade Civics.
My favorite part of teaching at BOYCP is our students. I believe each of our students have unique stories, abilities, perspectives, and truths that deserve to be seen and heard. My goal for my students is that they leave BOYCP with confidence in their abilities, skills, and sense of self to achieve their goals, whether in academics, career, or personal life.
Outside of the classroom, I am passionate about nature, food, and sports. I enjoy exploring forest preserves and learning about the plant and animal life native to our region, cooking all types of new foods, listening to all sorts of music, and watching my beloved sports teams, especially the Chicago White Sox, Bears, and Fire.

¡Hola!
