Now write to explain your rationale how this intervention or interventions have changed your life. Write a five paragraph essay on what you have learned and what you will use outside of school.

This week we continue the unit on Problem Solving.
You will be solving a wide range of problems and the opportunity to experiment with a variety of solution strategies. This unit is an introduction to the problem-solving process. You will be asked to solve new problems by planning a strategy, designing and producing solutions, and then reflecting on the solutions and strategies.

Throughout the unit the emphasis will be on the process rather than the solution. Most of the world's problems today do not have single simple solutions. In order to contribute effectively to the solution of these problems, you need to be comfortable in a collaborative environment where multiple approaches are valued and encouraged and where failure is seen as part of the process toward a solution.

January 28th is Data Privacy Day! Apple posted this very informative document (story) about what happens to your data, how it's shared among phone apps, and who sees it...and buys it! Told though a story about a dad and a daughter planning a day at the park.

A summary is a brief account of something. OR a summary of an article should give you a recap of the article’s main ideas, concepts, or points.

This might not sound too difficult, but when writing a summary, you need to strike just the right balance between covering the critical concepts and rewriting the whole article. Here are the steps to writing an appropriate summary.

1. Paragraph 1: Identify the author’s purpose or reason for writing the article.
a. In your introduction, restate the reason for the article in your own words.
2. Paragraph 2: State each of the author’s main points.
3. Paragraph 3: State the author’s conclusion.

When done submit your summary here in Google Classroom.

This assignment could change your grade.

Your team will decide on the selection of a new computer to use for this project. Your task is to provide at least three options and then demonstrate to the class why you choose the one you will elaborate on. Decide who will present your project to the class. You might decide to have everyone speak on the slide they researched and created. Also, a great idea would be for each person to place their name on the drops (Slide) they made and they present thier slide (any method you have chosen).

Jamboard is one smart display. Quickly pull in images from a Google search, save work on a pdf or share, use the easy-to-read handwriting and shape recognition tool, and draw with a stylus but erase with your finger – just like a whiteboard.

Today's assignment is to use Jamboard or Google Slides to discuss what a computer is.
You will need to add some aspects to your slides or Jamboard.
1. Definition of a computer
2. Use words or pictures to illustrate the types of computers you see daily in your community, school, home, or city.
3. Once you have created an extensive list of computers from your daily life, put them into categories. You decide the name for each of the categories.
4. Use items along the top and the left side of the Jamboard to elevate your ideas to their best potential.
5. You must use a combination of things: you must use five items, at least. As in the text, then color the text, size the text, align the text, add a sticky note, images, or geometric symbols, change the background.
