- Description
-
Engineering Design is a course that facilitates an exploration of the fundamentals of engineering and technology in the information and communications age. Students will constantly draw on their mathematical, scientific, and technological knowledge, as well as their everyday experiences, to conduct investigations and solve problems relating to many fields of engineering, with a specific focus on the field of biomedical engineering. By successfully completing this course, you will be able to: *Conduct engineering field and laboratory activities using safe, environmentally appropriate, and ethical practices. *Apply knowledge of science and mathematics and the tools of technology to solve engineering design problems. *Communicate effectively through written documents, presentations, and graphical representations using the tools and techniques of professional engineers. *Recognize the history, development, and practices of the engineering professions. *Create justifiable solutions to open-ended problems using engineering design practices and processes. *Manage engineering design projects.
