Pomp and Circumstance Check In #2 (21-37)

You are to record measures 21-37 of Pomp and Circumstance after one week of practice. Some of us have played it a bunch of times and so I know that you will be fine. For everyone else, I want to check in to make sure that you are understanding the music! You turning this assignment in will earn you full points, this is only a check in so I can help you.

There is no tuba MP3 so you will just need to somewhat watch the trombone part as pretty much all of the notes are the same.
Euphonium and trombone have the same part so read the same music.
I will work on creating Noteflight recordings for you to help you practice and for the final take.

Due:

1. Have someone create a Google Doc and share it with your group.

2. Find a way to break up the paragraph by assigning people sections to write about such as someone takes melody, someone take instrumentation, etc.

2.1 Everyone write up a statement and then come together as a group to select the best ideas from each team member.

Gregorian Chant Beginning Music Study in Google Classroom

Gregorian Chant Beginning Music Study

YOU DO NOT NEED TO START ON THIS UNITL WEDNESDAY WHEN WE ARE IN CLASS!

In this first unit of study, we are going to dive back in time to the oldest music that was written down. Although there was music played and sung before then, chant music is the first time it was written down. As music evolves, we often retain some of the more memorable aspects and in some cases, we completely revive music to fulfill a specific purpose. This music example revives the music and then places it in a different setting to create an entirely new product.

In the process of creating this slide, we will also continue to develop our abilities to use Google Slides to make better presentations as we will use this tool frequently.

The slides you are given here are for your reference. The first slide provides the must haves as well as some choices that can be unique to you. The second slide contains the rubrics that will be used to grade you. Remember that you are only making one slide like I did!

Although the final product is due Friday, your first draft is due to me tomorrow so we can then engage in some small group activities.
