Apply all three drawing methodologies to draw your object to the best of your ability.
- Begin by lightly sketching out the gist of your object (gesture drawing, focus on finding shapes & forms)
- Use careful hand-eye coordination to draw what you actually see, focusing on where lines & shapes line up to each other
- Apply shading to create and enhance details

"Selfie//Not Selfie" About Me Slide in Google Classroom

"Selfie//Not Selfie" About Me Slide

Artists often use the objects around them in their every day life to create works of art. Photographers take pictures in creative ways of their everyday surroundings to show us their world through their eyes. Japanese photographer Rinko Kawauchi does exactly this. She photographs her home, and her family, in carefully composed pictures that capture the tone and mood of her surroundings. Before we begin, please explore her website: http://rinkokawauchi.com/en/works/213/

So for our first photography assignment, we are going to do exactly that. In order to get to know you, and each other, better, each of us will create a "Selfie / Not Selfie" Slide. You must include:
- a SELFIE of YOURSELF where I can clearly see you,
- and 8-12 different pictures of things around you that you see in your everyday life. NO PICTURES OF LOGOS!

I will be assembling all of the slides into a class set, but you will work on your own during class today and Monday.

See slide #2 for the guidelines and rules. See slides #3 and #4 for my & Mr Anderson's examples! Follow our example, but create your own arrangement.
