Dear BOYCP School Community,
We hope this message finds you well as we wrapped up another great week at BOYCP. On Tuesday, September 16th, some of our students participated in a walkout regarding federal immigration enforcement. As a school community, we worked closely with the CPS Office of Safety and Security to implement a safety plan that prioritized the well-being of our students. We remain committed to providing a safe environment where students can express their feelings and concerns, especially during challenging and uncertain times.
On Friday, students received their Week 5 Progress Reports during advisory. We encourage you to ask your student to share their report with you and take time to discuss the content and skills they are learning, as well as any support they may need to strengthen their progress.
Finally, a reminder that Friday, September 26th is a professional development day for teachers. This will be a non-attendance day for students.
