Students in the 11th grade CP Engineering program visited UIC's School of Engineering for the day. In the morning, they met with students and staff in the robotics lab to learn about a variety of engineering majors, curriculum, and discuss the challenges engineers will be facing in the future, including AI. After lunch, they had an opportunity to visit UIC's Maker Space lab to see how current UIC engineering students are working with engines, rockets, and utilizing 3D prints to consider solutions to global and local challenges in their communities and beyond.
