This past month we celebrated our September Teacher of the Month: Math teacher Cinthia Nevarez!
Her colleagues shared the following praise:
- She consistently demonstrates what it means to build meaningful relationships with students. So many of her former students return to check in with her during the very first week of school, showing how much they value the connection and sense of belonging she creates in her classroom.
- She puts a significant amount of time and thought into planning projects that engage students in real-world applications of mathematics, including a recent project based on building financial literacy for her sophomores. Her enthusiasm is contagious. Through her relationships, creativity, and passion for learning, Ms. Nevarez makes a lasting impact on her students.
