As you may be aware, the Chicago Board of Education is currently considering what CPS’ academic calendars should look like for the next two school years (SY 2026–27 and SY 2027–28). We want to make sure the Board knows what our students, families, staff, and community members would prefer regarding these calendars, especially the start and end dates for each semester and the school year as a whole.
You can share your feedback by completing this very brief survey by Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at noon. The survey provides three options for the 2026–27 calendar and asks you to choose the one you prefer most. Similar timing will be applied to the calendar for the following school year (SY 2027–28).
