In the Lifeguard Explorers training program, participants learn the skills needed to be a lifeguard and pass the Chicago Park District Lifeguard Skills Test (required to be a lifeguard), and get paid! Participants must be 14-19 years old and live in Chicago. The fall session is offered at seven parks across the city. Classes began the week of September 22 and run through December 7.
