6th IB SL Math Analysis and Approaches II-M-TH 12:35-1:26pm / F 12:14-12:52pm Assignments

FINISH PART 1 FIRST! 


Fill out the slides as directed in class. If you miss a day, or need more time, continue at home. This will be a project grade! If you have questions, ask, send an email, and look at the example project posted on the google classroom.

The car project has TWO parts, Part 1 is worth 8 points, Part 2 is worth 17 points. 

The slides have ALL the answers, read the instructions carefully and look at the example, located on the google classroom.

Students will create a "cheat sheet" of important ideas, concepts, formulas that they will need to remember on the DP Exam. This will be added to in class, and collected the day after the DP Exam for a criterion B Grade. Students have been given paper to write on. The content and accuracy of the cheat sheet will be graded. Come to 236 if you need additional paper or want a fresh page.

- Unit Circle and Trig Identities
-Log/Exponent Rules
-Function Transformations, Inverses
-Sinusodial Graphs (sin graphs) 
-Calculator Steps
-Normal and Binomial Distributions
And MORE! 

I will be grading based off of quality of notes, not quantity (If you write small, you may only fill one side, if you write large and fill both sides does NOT guarantee a perfect grade. )

Please write your paper on this document here. Feel free to include attachments, such as google sheets, but remember that I will only be grading your actual  doc as a pdf ( so no hyperlinks!).

I have changed the rough draft deadline for the end of Winter Break, to allow more students time to do the math/get necessary data. 
Please turn in whatever you have as soon as possible. I will give feedback on the IA in the order they have been submitted. 

If you do not submit a rough draft by January 8, I will be grading your final draft only, no additional feedback or time to fix mistakes.


I have 3 classes of DP Papers to grade, and need a lot of time to grade these papers. Thank you for your understanding.

Please submit by Friday. You will need approval before beginning work on the IA.
If you will need to collect survey data, please submit sooner, as I will need to approve BOTH the proposal and the survey BEFORE YOU SURVEY ANYONE!

If you are having trouble thinking of a topic, please talk to me! I ma happy to help brainstorm with you.

Complete the jamboard. You will have to read another sample IA and complete reflection questions on slide 1, as well as  create two Mindmaps on slides 4 and 5.

This is to be read and annotated before class on November 28. I handed out physical copies in class, but if you lose your copy, you can see it here. I will be checking annotations for a grade, and you will be grading this example IA when we return to class on Monday November 28!

Now, since photomath is a thing, I will require you to turn in your written out work for all problems you complete. Be sure to physically hand me your work on these problems to get the extra credit. Remember that you will learn best from actually doing these problems, and if you get one wrong, you just need to do extra to get the credit. Learn and grow from this opportunity, as we will see derivatives on the semester final and the DP Exam.

You will work with your partner on this project. You only need to work on ONE document, so be sure to share your document with your partner. Follow the attached assignment list for what should be completed by each due date. 

Use only the data needed fir your question. 


The points will be updated as the assignments are assigned and graded. Each assignment is a grade, and the final project is also a grade.

Handed out in class on THURSDAY, but here is the copy in case you need it! Will be checked in class on MONDAY. 

Start reading and annotating the IA. Underline, circle, and highlight anything you find interesting, anything you have questions about, and comments about what you think may be expected when you write your own IA.
