What is CP Engineering?
NEW! CP Engineering is a 2 year program that is designed to teach 11th and 12th grade students how to apply the engineering design process and technical computer-aided design (CAD) skills to invent and prototype products that solve real world problems. Students work with real-world clients to define problems, design and test innovative solutions, and pitch their inventions to industry investors.
Each student in CP Engineering will graduate with:
- an online portfolio of computer-aided design (CAD) projects
- the opportunity to earn an industry-recognized
- certificate in AutoDesk Fusion 360 CAD
- experience working for real-world clients and pitching products to investors
- a professional resume
CP Engineering is for students who are interested in:
- Invention
- Creative design
- Building models
- Solving real-world problems
- Working with clients
- Hands-on learning
- Working with a team
- Leadership skills
Students will also learn how to be confident professionals by practicing collaborations, sharing ideas and managing project requirements. If you’re interested in hands-on invention, this program is for you!
HANDS ON LEARNING: WE BUILD SOLUTIONS TO REAL-WORLD PROBLEMS!
Examples of Projects:
- 3D design and printing
- Circuits and Arduino-based devices
- Product design and manufacture
In Honors Engineering II (new in the 2020/21 school year), students will work in teams with local community partners to design, manufacture, and test a product that addresses a real world problem.
