Hello students, parents, and other visitors!
I am a Chicago native and a proud daughter of Korean immigrants. I am a first generation college graduate, and a product of a CPS elementary school and a Skokie high school. Both schools were incredibly diverse and have enriched my life. I have been teaching since 2002 and love my job. It is a joy to work with high school students every day; I appreciate their candor, brilliance, humor, and even their frustrations. I hope to work with them in a way that they may feel empowered to critically think, read, and write about the adult world post high school. This is my fourth year at BOYCP, and it's hands down the best school in Chicago!
Other than being a teacher, I am a mom of two little ones who are filled with a lot of energy. In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing what I want to, as well as music, theater, volleyball, podcasts, and Korean dramas. I also have traveled extensively, even teaching English in two different countries outside of the United States. I would love to talk to you about my interests and learn about yours!
If you ever need to contact me, please email me. I would love to get to know you or answer any questions.
