Mental Health Summit for High School Students

CPS aims to overcome the stigma for high school students surrounding mental health support and services. We recognize and value the importance of mental health support for the well-being of all our students.


Their second annual Mental Health Summit includes opportunities for high school students to participate in workshops, discussions, and activities with peers and mentors from across the city. The event is free and includes breakfast and lunch.


When: Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Check-in and breakfast will be between 8 a.m. - 8:50 a.m.


Where: Malcolm X College, 1900 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60612


Who Can Participate: All CPS high school students are eligible to attend (maximum of 250 students), plus CPS school-based clinical staff members, including CPS school social workers, psychologists, nurses, and counselors (maximum of 150 staff members).

Space is limited so registration is required. 


Parental consent is required for students to attend. A permission slip is included in the registration form and must be attached to the completed registration form before submission. 


Buses will be provided from some CPS high schools. We recommend registering first to secure your child’s spot and then finding transportation.
